The Metal Report

Sunday, February 28th, 2010

Greetings,

I’m still thinking that Ironbound is one of Overkill’s best records. It punches you in the face until you bleed. I’m also enjoying the Van Canto. Acappella metal? What a cool idea. That reminds me. If you never have, do a search on YouTube for toto africa acappella and click on the first entry. As of this writing it brings up a choir simulating rain and then doing an acappella version of Toto’s Africa. It’s quite fabulous.

There is some cool stuff coming up. Goatwhore is playing in Detroit this week and Hammerfall is in Cleveland next week. I’m also quite pumped about the new Rhapsody of Fire album due out this Friday.

Keep Heavy

Stay Hard

  5. The Paper Sons – In The Throes… (minus HEAD records)
