This week is slowly coming to an end and that means a whole new High Voltage segment on Dirty Glitter! Click to find out the hottest bands to make their debut on Dirty Glitter and WBGU.

OURS

This is dipping back into the archives for a band that has probably escaped the ears of many. OURS is the alternative rock creation of Jimmy Gnecco and what this band may lack in mainstream recognition it makes up for in devoted following. The music is emotionally expressive and charged with love, pain, beauty, ugliness and where they all tend to bleed into one another. Gnecco exposes himself lyrically and has one of the most extraordinary voices: for better or worse, he’s often compared to his old friend Jeff Buckley. Last week OURS played two back to back sold out shows at the Viper Room in West Hollywood, CA and that, itself, is a testimony to the power and connection that Jimmy and OURS have with music fans. Due to a successful Pledgemusic campaign, a fourth OURS album is underway. Until then, from 2008′s Mercy (Dancing For The Death Of An Imaginary Enemy) here’s a song with one of the most thoughtful choruses: “Ran Away To Tell The World.”
Irontom
These guys began making a place for themselves in the LA music scene in 2011 originally under the name the Bellows. They’re a five-piece made up of Harry Hayes, Zach Irons, Dane Sandborg and Dyl Williams. Sidebar: Zach Irons’ dad is drummer Jack Irons who has played with Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, Joe Strummer and is now the drummer for the Wallflowers). But the reason people dig Irontom is because of their immense and eclectic sound that taps classic rock, 90s rock and even an undercurrent of reggae. They recently released Loose, a 4-song EP produced by the amazing Alain Johannes (from Eleven, Queens of the Stone Age, Them Crooked Cultures) with a full length album enroute. Irontom’s live show is dynamic and forceful and belies their young age and I expect big things from these guys.

Finishticket
From the San Francisco, Bay area comes Finish Ticket: Alex DiDonato, twin brothers Brendan and Michael Hoye and Gabe Stein and who are gearing up to release their first full-length album,Tears You Apart, which is produced by Pierre de Reeder (formerly of Rilo Kiley and has produced Vampire Weekend, Julian Casablancas, She & Him). These guys walk that pop/rock line with a glittery freshness as the guitars and harmonies are airy and they certainly know how to write a hook. From Tears You Apart due for release on February 26th, this is “Doctor.”
