Hello Dave, I hope this finds you and yours well.
I don’t have an email address for you; I hope this will do.
I sent you my new CDs, “The Blue Wall” and “Blue Collar/ Live Recordings” a couple of weeks ago at Michael Jerlings suggestion and thinking that I had included a cover letter. I had set aside a dozen or so letters that were meant for people I knew and for those who had asked for the CDs. I thought I had sent them along with the CDs, but….nope, I just found them in a folder on my desk! Whoops and sincere apologies. What a “duh” thing to do! The letter should have been there.

    So here goes:
“THE BLUE WALL” is the CD I was working on when I released “Blue Collar, Live Recordings” in 2011. They are meant to be together. THe Blue Wall came out in June this year. I am just getting around to promoting it. Self promotion is NOT my strong point although I’ll brag on on my musician friends and peers and tell you how great I think they are with no problem.

And those people, my peers, are telling me things like “this CD is the best thing you’ve ever done” and “its really good , NO JOHN I MEAN REALLY GOOD…! ” ….I don’t know about that or…maybe I know a little about it because I know its flaws too. I tell people it is a songwriters CD. I wrote what I felt, musically, stylistically and lyrically…it is really the culmination of a lifetime of doing this, Six of the 11 tracks are co-written lyrically with Dannielle Spindler-Swart. I like her writing and it I think it works well with what I do. FYI, those are her lyrics on tracks 7 and 8.
If I were to guess what you might want to play from The Blue Wall on a folk/acoustic show (if you ever wanted to do such a thing), I would suggest track 1 (Nothings Funny), or maybe track 7, The Stuff of Stars or 9 , Just Dance… Almost anything from Blue Collar might fit, folks like Always Walking (track 2), Old Blue (track 4/ some new lyrics to an old song…) and Papa Papa (five). mmm the bus to las vegas and A song and a Prayer…. I have left in most of the intros to the songs….cause that’s part of what I do at live shows.

So , Dave, I most humbly submit these new recordings. I hope you like them. This is what should have accompanied the CD to your mailbox.

Thanks for your time and interest.
    Take care
    John Kribs
