McKinley Smith

I’m McKinley Smith, host of the Blues Breakfast for over twenty years.  That’s a lot of blues!  My goal in doing the Blues Breakfast is to make every listener forget their troubles as the philosophy of the blues is feeling good about feeling bad.  I like all genres of the blues but lean toward upbeat, guitar-driven blues that get put a little pep in your step and some jump in your rump!  I alternate with three other great blues DJ’s: The Atomic Mama, Free Wheelin’ Franklin, and Muddy Ray.  We have our own favorites, but each of us strives to serve up hot, tasty blues for your breakfast every Saturday morning.  We also keep you informed about any and all blues events so you can see great live blues in person.
